The Derelict League presents our 2nd annual Space Dubs (MVP Space Race) event! We have a modified 26 hole layout at First Calvary Baptist in Inver Grove Heights. All holes have been shortened to provide a variety Ace’able shot shapes. Doubles partners will be drawn at random. All entries include an 2024 MVP Space Race player pack. You must only use the discs provided in the player pack. The MVP player pack contains 2 glow discs. Derelict Space Dubs is a night event, so please bring UV flashlights, or other means to charge your glow discs. You must charge your glow discs before each throw! Please do not hold up the event by losing a glow disc that wasn’t charged before throw. We will light up the course and the baskets to provide an intergalactic atmosphere. There will be a lit island hole, a teleporter hole, and maybe a few extraterrestrials observing the course. We have trophies for first place, but the main objective is to have fun. Registration for this event will go out to Derelicts first and opened towards the end of the Registration window. This is NOT a last minute signup event so mark your calendars!

HERE WE GO! Another Week at Kaposia and we’re loaded with CTPs this week! Our good friend and OG Derelict, Danny Hexum, is in town from Alaska and brought along some sweet CTP prizes for you all! We also have some sick new CTPs from Gray Duck Disc Golf! Thanks guys!

I’ll be out of town again this weekend so please help Tommy out with setup if you can!

FALL SERIES: We’re really excited to release some details on the 2024 Derelict Fall Series, we’re nailing down the final details and layouts (I hear we may be heading to The Valley for a custom Derelict Layout!). I will be posting a Derelict Announcement in the coming days with that schedule.

Happy Wednesday Derelicts!

Guess who’s back, back again? First Calvary’s back, tell a friend! Sorry, you can only do so many weekly greetings before things get weird. We hope you’re excited for another night under the stars with the Derelicts! The always accurate meteorologist people claim the weather is going to be incredible, so come on out!

As a reminder, you now have two options for carding up! Here is a review:

  • Derelict Mixer: If you Opt-In for the Random Card Derelict Mixer we’ll assign your random card through a state of the art “Tommy using playing cards” system. Those doing the mixer will get to start on the closest holes to the parking area as an incentive to participate.
    Example: If there are 16 people who want to participate, we would deal A, 2, 9, 10 cards (to make 4 person cards) which would represent the starting tee. Players with matching numbers will card up together. Players who want to play with their own card would get starting Tees 3, 4 ,7, 8 putting them further from the start.
  • Card with Friends: Those who already have preset cards when you arrive, we’ll set you up with holes after the mixer cards are set. If you don’t want to participate in the random mixer, you’ll have to find a card on your own. Either option is perfectly fine with us! All cards must have a minimum of 3 players.

Summer Week 7 Results are in!

Thanks for joining us in the sweltering jungle that is Oakwood this week and trying our new carding format! Self made cards got together quickly and those that participated in the Derelict Mixer seemed to have some pretty fun cards! We even got a little fireworks show from the locals! Derelicts, Assemble!

Can you believe it’s almost August already?! This year is flying by! We hope you’re ready for another fantastic week under the stars, this week we’re giving Oakwood another run with our custom Derelict layout to keep the flow going for the night round. We heard a lot of great things about the last Oakwood night, even with the wet conditions they had, so we’re really looking forward to joining you all this Friday!

DERELICT MIXER UPDATE
We had a lot of requests to get more Derelict Mixers on the books and we thought, why not make that an option all the time? We also know not everyone enjoys randomized cards and would prefer to play with their friends, that’s fine too! Going forward, we’ll be offering both options!

  • Derelict Mixer: If you Opt-In for the Random Card Derelict Mixer we’ll assign your random card through a state of the art “Tommy using playing cards” system. Those doing the mixer will get to start on the closest holes to the parking area as an incentive to participate.

The Derelict League presents our 2nd annual Space Dubs (MVP Space Race) event! We have a modified 26 hole layout at First Calvary Baptist in Inver Grove Heights. All holes have been shortened to provide a variety Ace’able shot shapes. Doubles partners will be drawn at random. All entries include an 2024 MVP Space Race player pack. You must only use the discs provided in the player pack. The MVP player pack contains 2 glow discs. Derelict Space Dubs is a night event, so please bring UV flashlights, or other means to charge your glow discs. You must charge your glow discs before each throw! Please do not hold up the event by losing a glow disc that wasn’t charged before throw. We will light up the course and the baskets to provide an intergalactic atmosphere. There will be a lit island hole, a teleporter hole, and maybe a few extraterrestrials observing the course. We have trophies for first place, but the main objective is to have fun. Registration for this event will go out to Derelicts first and opened towards the end of the Registration window. This is NOT a last minute signup event so mark your calendars!

Results Time!

Wonderful to see everyone this week! Thank you all for coming out for another Derelict night round, we hope everyone had a great time despite the late start, which we all blame on Martin of course. This week we had a tie for 1st place between Tommy “McBags-a-Lot” Murashie and Tyler Delp, congrats guys on the great rounds! Tommy also set a layout record of -11!

We had a lot of requests to get more Derelict Mixers on the books and we thought, why not make that an option all the time? Most people end up participating anyways cause it’s fun and those who are newer to the league or just enjoy playing with their friends can do so as well. So what we’ll be doing going forward is we’ll be having the option to opt in, or opt out of the mixer. Right before the round, we’ll randomize cards through an advanced Tommy using playing cards system, state of the art, and those doing the mixer will get the closest holes to the start. Those who already have preset cards when you arrive, we’ll set you up with holes after the mixer cards are set. If you don’t want to participate in the random mixer, you need to find a card on your own. Let us know if you have any questions about these changes!

Sorry I wasn’t able to get a Results post out in time this week, my Wife and I celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend and time just got away from me! Congrats to our Event and CTP Winners from last week!

Get the glow gear ready, we’re heading back to Kaposia this week! We’ll be rocking our custom layout we’ve use in weeks past and have some great CTPs for you all to win!

Heads Up for Parking: 🅿️ For a quicker exit and to be near the action, park in the spots along Hole 12. The regular lot is also available, but just be aware it might be a bit of a walk back to your car.
