Fundraiser Recap, Spring Schedule & What’s Coming in 2025

DERELICTS, ASSEMBLE!

When the sun sets and the glow rises, the Derelicts gather once again. Your favorite Glow League is BACK!

The Derelict League 2025 Season begins THIS FRIDAY, April 11th, and if the early signs are any indication… this one’s going to be special, and it starts with a huge THANK YOU!

💰 DERELICT FUNDRAISER RECAP – THANK YOU DERELICTS!

You didn’t just hit the goal – you crushed it.
$1,465 raised!

We are so incredibly grateful for your generosity, and this goes way beyond numbers.
This hit home for us as a real reminder of how lucky we are to be surrounded by such an incredible community.

You came together and said, “This league matters.”

Here’s where your support is going:

  • 🌀 $580 – Derelict Helix Basket at BRP

  • 🧱 $500 – Derelict Legacy bricks at Kaposia

  • $100 – Donation to First Calvary for Course Maintenance

  • 🔦 The rest – League costs, lights, and maybe something special 👀

Massive THANK YOU to everyone who pitched in and to the volunteers and raffle donors who helped pull this off:

Craig Slavik
Danny Hexum
Phalshie Larson
Thong Vue
Adam Henke
Chris Tourville
Nick Beisang
Flight Deck @ Kaposia
Lindsey Murashie
Patrick Kelly
Dave Carpenter & the First Calvary Baptist Course Crew

and of course THE ENTIRE DERELICT LEAGUE

Your dedication lights up our league – literally.

🦺 NEW HELP ON THE FAIRWAY

Every great glow round starts with someone dragging a wagon full of lights through the woods. This year, one of those someones is Craig Slavik.

Craig is joining the setup squad to help us get the course ready each week — he may have only joined the league last year, but we’ve already had him knee-deep in stake lights, orange cones, and “wait, is this hole 4?” energy.

Give him a shout when you see him – or a hand, if he looks buried in LEDs. Welcome Craig!

🌸 SPRING 2025 SCHEDULE

We’ve got lights, we’ve got baskets, and we’ve got questionable decision-making – here’s where we’re headed this spring.

April 11 – Kaposia Park
April 18 – Brockway
April 25 – North Valley DGC
May 2 – Acorn Park
May 9 – Hillcrest Knoll
May 16 – Red Oak Park
May 23 – Garlough
May 30 – First Calvary Baptist
June 6 – Oakwood Park
June 13 – Kaposia Park

Courses, layouts, and dates are subject to change – sometimes because of rain, sometimes because of scheduling conflicts, and occasionally because we got too excited and made things weird.

☀️ SUMMER & 🍂 FALL — THE GOOD STUFF CONTINUES

You thought we were done after spring? Please.

We’ve got plenty more lined up for Summer and Fall where we’ll be throwing at:
Highland, Hillcrest Knoll, Red Oak, Garlough, Brockway, Oakwood, The Valley, Kaposia, First Calvary, and Acorn Park. We are also working to secure some dates for Riverfront 13!

Big dates to lock in:
Fall Derelict Tour – September 18–21 (location TBD)
Haunted Hyzers – October (don’t even think about skipping it)

Check the League Schedule, Subscribe to the Newsletter on the bottom of DerelictLeague.com posts, or keep an eye on weekly updates as we roll through the rest of the season.

💡 FINAL THOUGHT

The lights are set. The lines are wild. The night is yours.
You helped build this thing, now it’s time to throw into the darkness where trees don’t exist, until they do.

Friday nights. Charged discs. Derelicts forever.

GLOW HARD or GLOW HOME.

💸 WHAT ARE WE FUNDRAISING FOR?

The Derelict League has grown bigger and better thanks to this amazing community. But as much as we love fronting costs for CTPs, lights, and league magic, we could use your help to take things even further!

🌟 TWO BIG PROJECTS IN THE WORKS:

1️⃣ Derelict League BRP Helix Basket – We’re putting our name on Minnesota’s first-ever Helix Basket at one of the top courses in the world, Blue Ribbon Pines!

2️⃣ Derelict League Kaposia Brick – A permanent Logo Brick at Flight Deck @ Kaposia, our longtime mothership!

Any extra funds go straight back into the league to keep the fun rolling. Let’s make some history together!

See you under the lights this Saturday! 🥏

ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT BELOW——

Mark your calendars, Derelicts!

Our first-ever Fundraiser is just a few short weeks away, on March 22nd, right before the start of the regular Derelict League season!

What are we raising money for?
The Derelict League has had an incredible few years, with last year being our most active ever. As LDs, the majority of CTPs, lights, and league costs have been fronted by Tommy and Scott. We don’t do this to make a profit; we do it because we love our community. However, there’s only so much we can shoulder ourselves. That’s where you come in!

In addition to helping with our general league costs, we want the Derelict League to leave our mark on Minnesota Disc Golf. So, we are looking to fund two very cool projects to help cement Derelict League in the state’s disc golf history.

Project 1: The Derelict League BRP Helix Basket
Blue Ribbon Pines, one of the most prestigious courses in the country, has the opportunity for The Derelict League to have our name added to one of their new Helix Baskets!

Project 2: The Derelict League Kaposia Brick
Jason Wilder at Flight Deck @ Kaposia has provided the opportunity to place a brick, with The Derelict League logo, outside of the shop which also supports Kaposia. As many know, Kaposia has been the mothership for The Derelict League for many years and is another one of the most popular courses in the state.

Any additional proceeds will go directly into the league!

Event Details
When: Saturday, April 5th, 2025, 6:30 PM
Where: Riverfront 13 DGC (Red x2)
Format: Cali Glow
Divisions: Multiple
Cost: $20 Donation to play
Prizes: Since this is a Fundraiser, there will not be cash payouts. However, we will have CTPs on many holes!
Registration: Registration will be done on-site!

Additional details to follow as we get closer!

DELAYED!! DERELICT LEAGUE: THE FUNDRAISER – RIVERFRONT 13 DGC – MARCH 22ND, 2025

WEATHER DELAY!!!
We had permits from the city to run our event at Riverfront this weekend however the Pins had to be pulled and course closed temporarily to prevent erosion. With the possible weather coming on Wednesday, this will likely keep the course closed longer. A new date will be posted once the LD Team solidifies a new date. Sorry for the delay everyone!
