The Sun Never Shines on The Derelicts

The pros are in town for The Preserve Championship this weekend for our last week of Spring Series, so it’s best the Derelicts keep their distance, we wouldn’t want any of that talent rubbing off.

We’re tentatively set to throw Kaposia this Friday on our custom Derelict Layout, but we’re keeping one wary eye on the forecast. If it looks too gnarly, we’ll call it, even though we do love a good Friday the 13th round. Fingers crossed the skies cut us some slack.

Red Oak’s getting lit this Friday, so it must be a Derelict!

This week, we’re heading to Red Oak DGC for the first time in Derelict League history. It’s a longer layout then our normal pitch and putts with plenty of spring growth, so expect a mix of open bombs and leafy tight lines, so bring your strong arms cause this course doesn’t play around. Pace of play matters here, we’re close to a neighborhood and want to keep things smooth.

We’re also rolling out CardCaddy, a brand-new tool Scott built to help you see your starting hole and cardmates before the round. Head to CardCaddy.DerelictLeague.com and check it out before the round. The sooner you register the easier it is for us to card you up!

Let’s try this again Derelicts!

In true Spring Derelict fashion, we had to call it last week thanks to the weather, but we’re not done with First Calvary just yet. Forecast willing, and it’s looking better (knock on wood), we’re heading back this Friday to finish what we started. Bonus for me, it makes my post this week pretty easy 😜.

We were originally set to head to Garlough this week, but we’ve swapped it out for First Calvary where the turnout has historically been stronger. Garlough will still get its moment, just not this Friday. No hard feelings Garlough. You’re still pretty in the dark.

Derelicts doing Derelict Things at First Calvary this week!

It’s our first stop at First Calvary since the Fundraiser, and wouldn’t you know it, the forecast is already looking suspicious. Of course, the sun never shines on the Derelicts, and rain loves to follow us to FCB. Fingers crossed the clouds hold off and the forecast is wrong, if the weather is too rough, we will update you on the Facebook post and in the event at KPLeagues. This week we will also be starting later at 8:30PM!

We’ll be loaded up with CTPs and the usual dose of tomfoolery. I’ll be out of town this week, but Tommy and Craig have things locked down. If it looks like they could use a hand setting up or wrangling the crew, step in and help out, Derelicts look out for each other.

The Knoll is calling and the Derelicts are answering!

That’s right, this week, we’re back at Hillcrest Knoll! The Kutzke family’s personal playground is pure ace-run territory, so we’re leaning into it with something new: the High Roller Optional CTP. For the first time ever, we’re offering a $5 optional cash CTP placed on one of the easiest holes out there – Hole 1/11. It’s a green light for aces, and we’re hoping someone cashes in big!

In addition to the new High Roller CTP, PK’s tossing in two solid prizes this week since Hillcrest is the only course he shows up for 😜. He’s got an Innova Firebird and your choice of a Wacky Wavy Inflatable Arm Man Jersey or a classic KPLeagues Jersey. If disc golf had a funhouse mirror, we just built a layout inside it!

We’re rolling into Acorn Park this week with a brand-new layout straight out of Tommy’s twisted mind. Tight lines, unpredictable (walking) paths, and just the right amount of dereliction to spice things up. The north side crew finally gets a shorter drive but this one’s worth it no matter where you’re coming from! We’re excited to see you all out there!

  • ⏰ Check-in/Card-up by 7:30 PM, tee off at 8:00 sharp. (try to have a card ready when you arrive for a quicker start!)

KAPOSIA HELP NEEDED
This Saturday, Jason Wilder from Flight Deck is looking for some help at Kaposia, and I’d love to see some Derelicts show up in force. Kaposia needs some love, and the more hands on deck, the more they can knock out. Jason will be providing a grilled lunch and some Derelict aiming fluid on site as a generous thank-you, but the real reward is putting in work on a course that’s given us plenty over the years. I’ll be tied up with a move that day, but if you’re available, swing by Saturday morning starting around 9am. If you have clippers or a saw for brush clearing, bring ’em along. Drop a comment on the Facebook post if you can make it so Jason can get a headcount!

I’m no Math Doctor, but a 10-hole layout with 11 baskets? That sounds pretty Derelict to me!

We’re back at North Valley this Friday with the return of our Derelict Stealth Loop, a custom 10-hole night layout we’ll play twice around! The double basket is in play, and because we’ve seen you all putt, either one counts! The catch? Well… If you know, you know. 😉

Brockway, Derelict League: After Dark, Spring 2025

SPRING 2025 WEEK 2 @ BROCKWAY PARK

The wind at Brockway whispers “throw it on an anhyzer!”…
But don’t listen. That wind lies. Your throw is definitely going in the road.

This week, the Derelict League invades a new course in our rotation – Brockway Park in Rosemount! Since it’s our first league night here, let’s cover the essentials:

  • ⏰ Check-in/Card-up by 7:30 PM, tee off at 8:00 sharp. (Seriously, we actually mean it this time – we want to wrap up around 10:00 PM)

  • 🗣️ Quiet-ish mode around Holes 8 & 9. Homes nearby and even though we’re Derelicts, we’re respectful Derelicts.

  • 🚧 Hole 17’s tee pad is under construction but playable. We called ahead to make sure it was a little Derelict just for you.

Legends say that once a year, the orange cones hum to life…
And when they do, the Derelicts emerge; underprepared, over-caffeinated, and ready to launch another season of glowy nocturnal grace! We’re kicking off 2025 this Friday at Kaposia Park, fresh off the Fundraiser and stumbling straight into Spring – probably a few minutes late as usual, but Derelicts gonna Derelict!

Tommy and I are stoked (and slightly amazed at what this thing has become) to kick off another season with the league we accidentally turned into a weekly tradition. It’s only going to get better as this year we have a Craig, who has officially passed his “set up lights in the woods” test. We’re so grateful for this community, the shenanigans, and all the Derelicts who continue to prove, week after week, that reading is optional and learning from your mistakes is actively discouraged.

🧥 Hoodie Alert: If you ordered a Derelict Hoodie, they’re finally in! We’ll have them ready for pickup at league. Huge thanks to Jordan Durand for getting them over to us before our Spring opener, what a hero!
