Tap to view game rulesSecret Society Rules
Every player will be secretly assigned to a Society through a tiered random draw. Each Society receives one randomly selected player from each skill tier, keeping the teams balanced while leaving their membership completely unknown.
Players may build their cards however they like. Your cardmates could be allies, rivals, or something worse.
The Reveal
Keep your envelope sealed until your card reaches its ninth hole. Everyone will then open their envelope, discover their Society, and talk some smack to their opponents.
Each Society also has two secret roles: a Bagger, who can earn a one-stroke advantage through a CTP challenge, and a Beast, who may use Cali rules on two of the remaining holes.
The Bagger CTP Challenge
After the reveal, each Bagger may challenge one player from another Society on their card to a one-on-one CTP contest.
- The challenge must be declared before either player throws.
- Only their normal tee shots count.
- The drive finishing closest to the basket wins.
- If the drives are too close to determine, the challenge continues on the next hole until one player wins a hole outright.
- The challenge must begin before Hole 17. Hole 16 is the final opportunity to declare it.
- If the challenge remains tied through Hole 18, it is unsuccessful.
- Each Bagger receives one challenge.
Release the Beast
After the reveal, each Beast may use Cali rules on two different holes during the remainder of the round.
- The Beast receives one extra throw on each selected hole.
- The extra throw may be used from any lie, including the tee or putting green.
- The Beast may choose between the original throw and the extra throw.
- The Cali throw must be announced before taking it.
- Only one extra throw may be used on each selected hole.
Society Scoring
Each Society’s three lowest individual scores will be averaged. The Society with the lowest final average wins.
A successful Bagger challenge subtracts one full stroke from the Society’s final averaged score. A loss changes nothing. The Bagger records the result on the insert and returns it inside the envelope after the round.
All players return their envelopes at the end of the round so we can record teams, roles, and scores.
